Christmas Card Ideas for 2026: Our New Chris Loves Julia x Shutterfly Collection

Our first collection with Shutterfly last year was such a special one for us, and those Christmas cards and ornaments have returned for the season. This year, we’re so excited to add new pieces alongside those staples: all-new card designs, new metal photo ornaments and, for the first time, a photo calendar.

Chris Loves Julia x Shutterfly Holiday Collection
Four Moods, One Collection
Instead of choosing one theme, we started with four moods, each pulled from things we’d been saving for months: old photo strips with handwriting on the back, a striped awning from our family trip to Italy last summer, gilded frames hung salon-style in a room that’s clearly been loved for a hundred years, and wedding stationery with lace edges and wax seals.
What ties them together is that none of them feel brand new. These are cards that look like they’ve been kept for years, a little worn in the best way. We leaned on rich, moody colors like merlot, olive, tobacco, and deep green, and on textures like linen, leather, and paper grain. We also spent a lot of time on the backs of the cards, because that’s the side that gets saved.

The Euro Summer designs are our favorite surprise. Holiday cards don’t have to be snowy. Some of our best family photos from the year were taken somewhere warm, and those deserve a beautiful home too. And we love that the Grand Portrait cards arrive looking like framed family photos!

Why We Send Christmas Cards Every Year
We share a hundred photos a week that disappear in a scroll. A card is different. Someone holds it, sticks it on the fridge and maybe tucks it in a drawer for twenty years.
We’re the people reading the back of every vintage photo at the antique store, and finding old cards and photos with handwriting on them is one of our favorite things in the world. A holiday card is the one time a year most of us make one of those on purpose. It doesn’t need to be perfect. It just needs to exist.

A birthday text is nice, but your real friends call you, you know? Sending a card feels like calling to wish someone a Merry Christmas. It’s a gift, and it changes how the season feels for the person receiving it. It puts everyone they love right there in their home.
Meet A Year Well Kept, Our First Photo Calendar
A calendar stays up all year, and it gives your photos a reason to keep being seen. We make one for Chris’s parents and my parents every year, and every year they love it. But we wanted our calendar to do more than share photos year-round. We wanted it to be art on the wall.

A Year Well Kept Wall Calendar
A Year Well Kept is designed for the design-minded, the way we’d style a wall at home: gallery mats, frames, and a type pairing that feels a little classic and a little editorial. Shutterfly lets you layer in backgrounds, frames, and little sticker phrases, so each month feels like a moody framed photo.

New Metal Photo Ornaments
We also designed four new metal photo ornaments to match the cards: Riviera Holiday, Ciao Holiday, On Holiday, and A Year, Well Kept. They look just as good tied to a gift as they do on the tree.
