Get the Look: A Mudroom Laundry Room That Works Overtime

A well-designed mudroom laundry room can completely change the way a home functions, and this one might just be proof.

Before the renovation, this family’s mudroom and laundry area was working on absolute overdrive within a tiny footprint. As part of the larger redesign, we completely reworked the main floor layout to carve out a space that finally felt intentional, organized, and equipped to handle real life beautifully.

Custom walnut built-ins bring warmth and an incredible amount of hidden storage, while durable v-groove walls were chosen specifically for a space designed to actually be used (and used often). Underfoot, a double-stacked herringbone tile adds that perfect balance of form and function (because practical spaces deserve beauty too!)

We also incorporated a custom banquette and drop zone just inside the back door, creating a natural landing spot for backpacks, shoes, groceries, and the everyday rhythms of family life.

And tucked just beyond it all? A little jewel box of a powder room that I can’t wait to share next <3
