My Favorite One-Piece Swimsuits for Summer 2026

We recently got back from spring break in Mexico, and for the first time in a long time, I actually got to lie down. The girls have hit that age where they don’t need me to reapply sunscreen every fifteen minutes or rescue a goggle from the deep end, which means I spent a real, meaningful amount of time on a lounge chair this trip. Chris and I kept looking at each other like, ” Is this what people who don’t have small kids do on vacation?“
I’ve gotten pickier about one-pieces over the years. Two things I really look for now. No. 1: A tall enough torso. I’m long through the middle, and there’s nothing worse than a suit that’s pulling in the wrong direction all day. No. 2: A neckline that does some actual work. Not too shallow, not too low, ideally with a little structure to it. Bonus points for anything that doesn’t require constant readjusting when I sit up or want to get out in the water.
Here are the three that earned their spot in the suitcase.
Underwire One-Piece The structure here is what sells it for me. The underwire gives real shape without veering into swimwear-meets-corsetry territory, and the torso runs long. I wore this one the most.
Adjustable One-Piece The side ties are the magic. You can pull them in for more coverage or loosen them up for something easier, which means it works whether I’m actually swimming with the girls or reading on a chair pretending I don’t hear them.
Plunge Neck One-Piece This is the one I reach for when I want to feel a little more put-together. The neckline does most of the work, and the cut is surprisingly substantial — it looks dressier than it is.
Here are more swimsuits that caught my eye for Summer 2026!
If you’re looking for something a little easier on the budget, I also rounded up my favorite swimsuits under $50 at Target — and if you’re a classic black one-piece person like I sometimes am, my go-to black one-pieces are here too.
