Fall House Tour 2026: Come On In, the Lamps Are On

Fall is this house’s season. The light gets lower, the rooms get warmer, and everything leans further into the moody side of things, which is where we’ve always been happiest.

There’s more in this tour than usual. A few rooms upstairs look completely different than the last time you saw them, a handful of projects got a refresh, and nearly every rug you’ll see is from our fall collection with Loloi.

This year’s tour is a quiet one: no narration, just a slow walk through every room of our moody Modern Colonial home, dressed for the season. Pour something warm and stay awhile.

Some details go by too quickly on video, so here’s the tour again, a little slower. The rooms are below, from the front entry to the bedrooms, with sources linked so anything that catches your eye is easy to find.

The Front Porch and Entry

Fall starts at the front steps: big burgundy mums in the stone urns, the lanterns lit and Cricket keeping watch at the door. (The mums are DIY, and here’s how we made them look this full.)

The Kitchen

The kitchen is all copper and candlelight this year, with fresh frames over the desk and a new Loloi runner by the range. We also restyled the shelves (more on that soon!).

The Dining Room

Fall dinners start with the table: a floral tablecloth, woven chargers under blue-and-white plates, a bowl of apples and a taper. The fern wallpaper and crystal chandelier do the rest. The Evolution of the Dining Room shows how it got here.

Under the vaulted ceiling, the lamps and candles do most of the work this time of year, with warm light, deep seating and moody accent pillows from our latest collection.

The powder room had a real makeover last year, but our favorite new detail? The zebra-stripe sconce shades.

The Primary Bedroom

We swapped the art over the bed for a traditional print from another room and added lucite lamps on the nightstands. (The second matching mirror is on its way!) The scale of these pieces makes all the difference.

This room was one of the latest to be renovated, and it’s still such a shock from where we started. The finishing touches are our new bath mats from the CLJ x Loloi collection.

The Study

The mural and dark green trim do the heavy lifting in here, so fall only takes a few small touches: sunflowers on the desk and a plaid throw over the velvet chair. (Want a moodier take on sunflowers? Here’s the twist.)

The Bonus Room

Two changes up here. The coffee table is actually our Pottery Barn Kids activity table, and it’s the perfect height for game night. And the piano moved into the nook where the kids’ desks used to be, since they do work at the dining table most days!

Faye’s Room

Faye has a new desk setup with plug-in sconces that feel antique, and we swapped in a few art pieces that suit her more grown-up style.

The chair in here used to live in our primary bedroom, and it’s perfect for playing guitar or curling up with a book. The poufs and desk are new, and the open bookcases moved to the bonus room. (We’re always moving things around to make a room work harder.)

Polly’s Room

The canopy went up just last week (DIY coming soon!), and Polly hasn’t stopped showing it off. The room is a lesson in pattern mixing: whimsical wallpaper, stripes and bold prints all getting along.

A space you rarely see, but one that’s well-used by the girls! We just added curtains to the bookshelves and couldn’t love how they turned out more.
