When I think about how to style a room, it always comes back to the details. A room doesn’t feel truly finished until you layer in those little touches that bring warmth, personality, and life. Styling a space is always my favourite part of a project. It’s when a room *really* comes alive.
Sometimes I wish I could have professional photos of every space after I style it. Like this one project, where the room wasn’t fully complete in time. But at least I got this peek! Some of my absolute must-haves when styling a space: boxes, baskets, blankets, books, and unique objects that tell your story. Plants and greenery always breathe life into a space, while pottery, art, and layered accessories give it that curated, lived-in feel.
It’s amazing how just a few thoughtful layers can take a room from simple to stunning. Every time I finish styling, I feel like I’ve added the final brushstrokes on a canvas. A few examples, slash favourite pieces below:
