miss mustard seed tees & hoodies

Do you remember Miss Mustard Seed tees and hoodies? We’re going almost ten years back when I used to sell in retail spaces, at markets, and regularly added products to an online store. I loved designing and wearing my own tees and hoodies, and they were my uniform for many years. I finally let go of my last paint-splattered, faded sweatshirt a couple of years ago. I’ve wanted to relaunch tees and hoodies for years, but I always get hung up on keeping the stock and physically packing and shipping each order. Well, I’m happy to share that we (my assistant, Heidi, and I) have designed a new round of tees and hoodies AND found a way to sell them, so you can order exactly what you want without me having to ship each piece! (Although I still have my custom-made t-shirt sign because I loved it so much.)
All of the new products are available (and on sale) on my Dashery store HERE. While you can also order totes and stickers, I have focused the shop on tees, long sleeve tees, hoodies, and crew-neck sweatshirts. If you scroll down a bit, I share how to navigate the site and customize the product for the design you like. (You need to let me know if you’re burning for a tank top or trucker hat, but that didn’t seem like a fit for my audience, so I omitted those options.)
And, to celebrate the store launch, everything is on sale until December 1, 2025.
We made some classic Miss Mustard Seed tees with my new logo…
This is a sketch of a mustard flower I made earlier this year when we updated my website and branding.
All of the designs, including this one, are available in light or dark lettering. I prefer wearing dark shirts, but I know a lot of people like a good white tee, so we wanted to make that an option.
This is a hand-drawn design of some of my fountain pens, including my 1920s pump fountain pen I bought in Paris a few years ago…
And a hand-drawn design of my 1920s typewriter…
I wanted to use one of the Kitchin sketches, so we paired one of his thatched cottage drawings with a fitting quote from Jane Austen.
And for this shirt, I recorded “creativity is calling” in my own voice, and Heidi turned it into a visible sound wave. That was Heidi’s idea. Isn’t that cool?
To shop the store, select the design you like. You don’t necessarily need to like the product or the color on the featured image. That’s just one I selected. If you want that product (tee, long-sleeve tee, zip-up hoodie, hoodie, or crewneck sweatshirt), then you can select the desired color, the specific style, and size. The style selection allows you to choose the kind of fit and materials you prefer. If you select a classic hoodie, for example, you can see the size chart for that style just above the sizes, and, if you scroll down to the Hoodie FAQ section, you will find detailed information on the materials, care, and more. I prefer a tri-blend tee shirt, so that’s what I ordered.
If you don’t want a hoodie in that design, scroll down to “More Miss Mustard Seed Products” to select the products you want. Select “Adult Apparel” to view all shirt and sweatshirt styles available. If you want a sticker or tote, select “Accessories.”
I am so excited that we finally found a print-on-demand company that offers affordable pricing, high-quality shirts, and reliable customer service. Designs that have been sitting in the graveyard of ideas can finally be reanimated and brought to life. And more are on the way that speak to all of my favorite creative endeavors: painting, writing, decorating, gardening, and reading…
What would you like to see on a tee or hoodie?
The sale runs through December 1, 2025, and you can shop all current available designs HERE.
